Year 4 had a wonderful trip to Shallowford Farm, where they experienced a day of learning in the great outdoors. Set in the beautiful Dartmoor countryside, the visit gave pupils the opportunity to connect with nature and learn about sustainable farming.
Our school was thrilled to welcome Explorer Dome for an immersive science experience all about light. Pupils stepped inside the inflatable planetarium to take part in a dynamic, hands-on show filled with glowing demonstrations, dazzling colours, and exciting experiments.
We were thrilled to welcome M&M Theatrical Productions into school for a dazzling performance of their pantomime Snow White! The hall was filled with excitement as the cast brought the classic fairy tale to life with lively characters, colourful costumes, catchy songs, and plenty of laughter.
We were delighted to welcome Chris Johnson to school for an exciting day of Animal Encounters! The experience began with a whole-school assembly where Chris introduced the children to a fascinating range of animals and explained where each one came from, how they live in the wild, and the important ways we can help protect their habitats.ere.

Students at Bovey Tracey Academy are enjoying a wider selection of reading materials thanks to a generous donation aimed at enriching the school library. The contribution, made by FOBS has been used to purchase a variety of new books that children of all ages are excited to read.
As part of our Bovey 50 pledge, Phase 2 had a go at playing conkers, which was great fun for all. The children really enjoyed collecting conkers and bringing them into school. We are really grateful to the people at Bovey Shed who volunteered to drill the holes in the conkers, making a great link with community projects.
We recently visited Bovey Tracey Bowling Club which was a fantastic opportunity for the children to engage in a fun, active, and social experience outside the classroom. The trip was designed to promote physical coordination, teamwork, and community spirit in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
We are holding a number of Open Events for prospective families to start in September 2026.
