Year 4 had a wonderful trip to Shallowford Farm, where they experienced a day of learning in the great outdoors. Set in the beautiful Dartmoor countryside, the visit gave pupils the opportunity to connect with nature and learn about sustainable farming.
During their time at the farm, students explored the woodland, discovering local wildlife/They took part in hands-on activities, including meeting and helping to look after the farm’s animals, which gave them a real insight into life on a working farm as well as den building and gardening.
The trip also focused on teamwork and developing independence, with pupils working together to complete tasks and challenges in a natural setting.
It was a fantastic day filled with exploration, practical learning, and memorable experiences, helping to bring classroom topics to life in a meaningful and engaging way.
